A letter

Dear University of North Texas,

Thank you for so kindly letting me know that classes were cancelled today due to inclement weather.  It was greatly appreciated.  I do, however, have a few concerns about the way the message was delivered.

First, 5:23 am is never an appropriate time for a phone call, especially a prerecorded one, and especially when calling a college student.

Second, if you will check your records, you will find that I graduated on December 13, 2008 and therefore no longer attend classes at the University of North Texas.  This obviously makes an early morning phone call not only rude, but unnecessary.

As a college graduate, I am perfectly capable of using the internet, phone, or television to research school closings and determine if I need to change my plans.  As such, please remove my phone number from whatever list it is on and kindly allow me to sleep in peace.

Thank you for your time.
