Student of the Week (5)

This week’s student of the week is MM.  MM is a great student, but seems really sad most of the time.  She hates working in groups and I rarely see her interacting with other students.  I know she has a lot of arguments with her mom and her mom’s boyfriend.  She’s told me that she feels like they blame everything on her and don’t let her do anything fun.  How much of that is true and how much is typical teenage discontent, I don’t know, but I do know this girl is hurting.

Pray that the Lord would be a source of comfort for MM.  Pray that she would be given a broader perspective and a vision of life beyond high school.  Pray that she would understand that this is not the end-all-be-all, that no matter how hard things seem right now, the Lord has a plan and a future for her.
