Fitness Friday (3)

This week was the beginning of 30 days with no sugar of any kind.  It’s been an interesting few days, but not nearly as bad as I expected.  The hardest things are getting enough calories in my body when all I’m eating is meat and vegetables and that time after dinner when my sweet tooth kicks in a says “eat chocolate!”

Things at the gym have been great, though.  I’ve been able to do so much more than I’ve ever done before and I’m feeling really strong these days.  I had a training session with Lisa on Wednesday and she had me working like crazy, but the time flew by and I actually really enjoyed it.  (Well, except for the part with the kettle bell and the squatting.  That wasn’t fun.)

The best part of all of this has been getting to see how much some people really care about me.  I’ve had a number of people tell me really encouraging things, which makes it so much easier to keep going.  The amount of support I have this time around is a big part of why I think I will actually be successful.  Of course, I’ve found you get more support when you constantly talk about it on facebook and your blog  :)
