Today we had an Honors Assembly. Instead of having class, we all went to the auditorium, where the students behaved like hoodlums. There was a guest speaker and then they read out the names from the President’s List, 1st Honor Roll, and 2nd Honor Roll. Most of the students who were called didn’t even bother to go up on stage to get their ribbon and the students who weren’t called spent the whole time talking and goofing off.
No one can ever say anything to me about making the most of instructional time when they waste an entire class period doing something that pointless.
